Sweet & relaxing chamomile flowers, infused in organic extra virgin olive oil.
These chamomile flowers (Matricaria recutita) were grown from heirloom seed, by me, here on our homestead this past Spring (2018). Once the flowers had bloomed and fully opened, but weren't too bothered by the bees already, I picked them by hand, filled up my basket, took them into my workshop, and dried them for a few days on my homemade drying screens. They were then infused in oil for 6 weeks before being strained and bottled up to share!
It takes a lot of chamomile flowers to produce one good, strong oil infusion, so I only have a small batch of this available. I'm hoping to grow more chamomile plants next year!
** When harvesting my herbs, I always leave some flowers for the bees!
Chamomile has MANY healing properties, but as a topical application it helps with dryness, itchiness, inflammation, redness and unhealthy skin. It has calming + soothing properties for your skin and your senses.
This oil smells very sweet, just like chamomile tea!

HOMEGROWN CHAMOMILE OIL
Shake gently before use. Plant matter may accumulate at the bottom, if left to sit for a while, not to worry- just shake it up a bit to disperse it.
+ Use on irritated skin, inflamed sores or cuts, under eyes, dry skin, lips, or anywhere else that needs some extra sunkissed love!
+ Use this after showering all over your body when it is still damp. Indulge in the sweet and healing properties of the flowers.
++ You can also use this oil to create your own healing salve! Add 3/4 to 1 oz of beeswax or soy wax to 2 oz of oil, melt and let harden- and voila!
