Yosemite holds a special place in mine and my hubby's heart: it was the first trip we took together, kind of our first "date". That trip has a funny story- we forgot to make a turn and ended up taking the long (hubby says scenic) route there. What should've been no more than a 2 hour drive, took us 5-6 hours I think! We made it and had an AMAZING day together, holding hands for the first time and all that gooey stuff. Anyways, we didn't make that same mistake this time around (or the couple other times we've gone since then).
The first picture I stole of my future husband on that day.
We decided to take our little Jude there for his first time on his 11 month birthday a couple months back. It was such a beautiful family outing. And this was the first time we've really gotten away since the purchase of our fixer-upper home back in April - and the never ending work that is coming along with that!
So, as you can imagine, I haven't had a chance to sit down and blog in a while and thought this might be a good post to get me back into it!
We were hoping to get away from the stifling heat here in California's Central Valley, but Yosemite valley was almost just as hot that day! Mid 90's I think. Jude was a trooper hanging out on mama's back for most of the hike and we brought tons of water with us! Day trips with a babe require a bit more planning and packing, but it was totally worth it! Here's some photos from that beautiful day...
Until next time. xoxo
