Our second Sunkissed Exchange was just as beautiful and fun as the first time around, back in May. We had more local vendors, live music, a kids area and a mimosa bar, along with other homemade drinks and treats. It made my heart so happy to see everyone showing up to check out all the amazing vendors; seeing all the kiddos running around and playing; watching people visit our garden and animals; seeing old friends and family & meeting new people; and watching al our visitors hanging out enjoying their drinks and food. The event went from 10am - 2pm and the weather was gorgeous! It of course warmed up around 1, but didn't get too hot, which was amazing for August around here! My sister in law was our photographer again and caught some lovely photos that day.
We had homegrown zucchini bread and homemade pumpkin bread & muffins (made by my mama & auntie), grapes from our vines and local berries. To drink, we had an iced herbal tea, water with homegrown cucumbers, I made a big batch of my nourishing soda (kefir water) with local strawberries and homegrown basil, and of course mimosas, served by our awesome bartender, my brother in law.
My cousin, Peter, played some awesome tunes on his guitar for the first couple hours, which was awesome to hear and enjoy.
Below are some photos of our vendors. It was so fun having all these local friends and family be a part of this event! Some were couples and some brought their whole families along, which was great to see!
First up, Six:Eight Coffee - Fair, fresh, locally roasted coffee. Chelsea & Jake had their whole beans for sale as well as their cold brew kit. They were offering free samples of their cold brew coffee to everyone who showed up- so yummy!
Karo's Kreations, which is my super hardworking and creative mama. One of a kind succulent wreaths, bouquets and arrangements. Her and my dad also made my grandma's famous strawberry jam to sell. It was a hit!
Remy & Bello - knitwear for babies and adults, baby and toddler accessories and clothing, nursery decor, teething necklaces, felt play toys. Everything this mama makes is adorable and so well made!
Busy Blue Hive - delicious raw, wildflower honey, locally produced in Hughson. It was great to have them be a part of this event & everyone enjoyed their honey samples.
Stassa Designs - handcrafted wire jewelry, elegant and timeless designs. So many of the girls and ladies enjoyed making their own rings with Stassa. She was a pleasure to have, and made a bit of a drive from Stockton!
Luxe & Found - Michelle has amazing thrift and vintage clothes and always has tons of great vintage jeans and jean shorts in stock. I got myself a pair of amazing old wrangler shorts that she jazzed up a bit. She was so fun to have here!
My sister, Kala, showcased her beautiful macrame and wall hangings. Rayon De Lune, combines traditional macrame designs with flowers, pops of color and other beautiful, unique details. It was fun to "work" side by side with my sis.
I had my shop open for business as well, with all my skin care, baby care, mama care and herbal healing products. I love sharing my products with repeat customers and new faces who haven't tried it before! I had a hand scrub station outside my shop where visitors could try out my Oats + Sugar Handscrub to rejuvenate their skin and senses! I'm passionate about the healing power of the earth and LOVE sharing it with others!
My hubby and brother in law, always trying to "out-handsome" each other. I loved having so much of my family at the event- selling, playing music, helping and just being there to enjoy it! Not sure what I'd do without all my family nearby.
My cousin, Telissa, and youngest sister, Amanda, were in charge of helping with all the kiddos that day. They did great and I'm not sure how we could have pulled it off without them! I didn't want moms and dads to feel like they couldn't bring their kids with them, so we set up a fun kids area with toys, coloring books and stickers. They also enjoyed going out to visit our puppies and check out the chickens and sheep!
My other half was able to come home from work early to be a part of the event (and help out with our crazy little Jude). He's always so supportive and helpful when I'm busy planning these events. I don't know that I'd be where I'm at today without him. He's our rock and gives me more love and encouragement than I ever could have imagined (from someone other than my own parents). **Thank you baby for all you do for me!**
Here's all of us lady makers (husbands didn't make it to the photo for some reason). Thank you all for being so wonderful to work with and making this event so fun! My heart is full and I'm excited for what's in store for our next event at the homestead.
Until next time, xoxo.
